I upgraded to 1.9.5 yesterday and am only noticing this issue today. The last few days or so I’ve been able to direct stream live tv from plex to my roku without an issue. Now no matter what it is transcoding, which my underpowerd nas is unable to handle. Can anyone help give me any insight into why I can no longer direct stream? I was even able to direct stream a program while it was recording without any issue, while the other tuner was recording another program. I downgraded to 1.9.4, changed direct play to force, to auto, set the quality in the client to original, no matter what I try it is transcoding when just a day earlier it was not. Any help at all is appreciated!
I have a hunch that this was working on Plex for Roku 5.0.4, but it got updated to Plex for roku 5.0.5.4253. I don’t suppose there is any way to roll back is there?
I see in this post http://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1535736/#Comment_1535736 that the date my issues start correspond with the release of 5.0.5. @ljunkie is there any way to revert this change?
I still look back and reminisce on that magical week from october 12 to october 19 when my roku would direct stream live tv from the hd homerun extend. We haven’t had a response from Plex about this and there are several people having the same issue.
I wonder if manually editing the Roku profile could solve for this? (Beyond my paygrade)

not a bad idea I wonder if the latest plex for roku is using a different profile than the previous version
The 5.0.6 release did not resolve this issue
5.0.7 release resolves this issue
