inspect/review the trash bin + multiple versions

I would find it very useful if there was a way to list:

(1) all library items with the yellow triangle (deleted items)

(2) all library items with blue star (multiple versions)

in particular one is important if you have thousands of items in the library:

before emptying the trash, you might want to review what you’re throwing

away, without having to scroll and scroll and scroll (hoping you won’t miss

any yellow triangle or blue star)

Yes, I would definitely appreciate this feature.

Seriously +1

If you are going to ‘Empty Trash’, a summary view of what’s in the Trash (ie. what you’re about to throw away permanently) seems an important missing feature… Scrolling through sections looking for a yellow ! isn’t exactly ‘exact’. Please add a ‘View Trash’ section.

ps. I just came across this - http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/24895-open-the-lid-on-the-trash/page__p__157403__hl__trash__fromsearch__1#entry157403

From what I can see it adds a Trash section to Plex for iOS clients… - does a job for now until it’s integrated into the Media Server view.

+1.  Not being able to see this is completely unacceptable.  HUGE miss.

Bump.  Can this be accomplished yet?

Bump again.

I would really like to hear the reason why such an important feature is missing; it has been requested by various users over the course of five years already.

If all it take is one single SQLite query (this is hearsay, I haven't tried it myself) to view all items in the trash, why is there no place in the UI for this.

It is really bad business if you have an option to automatically empty the trash and no way of knowing what is going to be removed.

Is this one of those "design decisions" topics where some arbitrary decision was made to not support a (for many people useful) feature? Same with Apple, they just keep repeating the mantra "you don't need arrow keys on iOs for text entry" hoping users will just swallow it.

+1 again whats the point of a trash bin if the only interface to it is “empty trash”

Please add this feature. One of my drives went down (no redundant raid setup) and there’s so many bad sectors, I can’t get the MFT. Having a list of what is missing (flagged as trash) would be so helpful.

Bumping this again. It seems like this should be really easy to add as a filter. One of the below linked posts from 2015 says it’s not, but I’m not sure when the whole trash icon on your media was implemented. With that implemented, it seems like it must be tracked and should be doable to filter or list things to be deleted.

For example, I just removed a bunch of duplicates, and in order to get them to not show as duplicates in the library, I must click “Empty Trash”. I don’t know what else I might be deleting, so I’d like to make sure, in case I lost something along the way of moving everything around.

I searched for “trash” feature requests and found several. I’m going to link them as I think them most relevant or older first in case of duplication, since this is the post I got to from google. If you want this implemented, click the like button on the first post in the linked threads. That’s how they track interest for feature requests.

bump again!

Yes just empyted trash and during the next scan all my movies came up as new. This is very annoying.

Bump again
(and thanks for the awesome work!)

This request was made 6 years ago. It has been bumped every year since except the year Romney was running for President. I realize a lot of people were busy that year. But it seems like the Trump campaign would have been a great time to add this feature. Can we get it now, at least? Maybe just as a salve?

How has this not been implemented!? How do we undelete things that we have accidentally deleted?

BUMP This is getting rediculous
