My wife and I see this more and more in our recordings since the release of the last PMS version (1.11.0.4666). The recording session completes fine but when we play back the recording (either via PMS, or VLC or WMP etc) at some point through the playback session the video gets pixelated and the sound goes all (for lack of a better word) ‘techno’. I am running PMS on Win7, with HDHR Prime. I have been using PMS for a couple of years (with the same equipment) without having this issue. Can someone help? I can provide the whole file if I need to.
Is it anything like this? (sample attached)
I have this issue ongoing in the following thread:
To date, it has not been addressed.
@AmazingRando24, ha! I have ALSO seen that since the last PMS update. What I am describing is that with a lot of pixelation (on yours, the image seems good but out of order in some way). Also as I mentioned above, I am not doing ANY transcoding or commercial cutting.
I know you said you are not doing any transcoding, but if you check the setting of your tuner, (gear by tuner) is it set to transcode at all?
I found that if that was off, it had an effect, especially regarding commercial removal and pixilation. File size was bigger, but I don’t really care about that.
I’m experiencing similar issues. I have cable service, not OTA. I don’t see pixelation so much, but I get a definite shuffle/stutter of video & audio about 1/2 way through my hour long recordings. I can’t put an exact finger on it, but seems that if a 1hr long recording is followed by another 1hr recording, the seconding recording has this issue.
We started to see it recently with back-to-back recordings of Shark Tank. We now refer to it as the “Shark Tank shuffle”. Funny, but not really so much. ;-/
I had the exact same issue on last weeks shark tank. But yes this is not the issue i am describing here.
this is fixed for me!
I have found that this happens when I am recording a show while watching a show from the DVR using my fire TV. If I am not watching a show at the same time it is recording a show, the recording will come out fine. If I am watching another recorded show at the same time, the recording will have this same problem.
