I update Plex with the last beta 1.11.3.4793 I’m interested to fix DVR scheduling issues.
The Plex Media Server is killing my cpu and the log is flooded by a lot of the following lines:

any idea? can you suggest a workaround until the next release?

Only got that on the first run of v1.11.3.4793 last night when the EPG started refreshing. Haven’t seen it during the last two EPG refreshes since then.

I started a refresh of EPG. it was at 15% and i tried to click on program guide which then sent the CPU up to 80-90% so maybe the refresh doesnt do anything for fixing the cpu issue… also my recording schedule has all gone because plex cannot see the EPG which mean the recordings wont happen bad update imo
EDIT:
EPG refresh completed (100%) clicking on the program guide still fails
Took about 5 minutes after my first EPG refresh finished before my recording schedule showed up. Appears that was only on the first EPG refresh after updating to v1.11.3.4793 since I’m in the middle of another scheduled EPG refresh and my recording schedule and program guide are both visible.
I tried using a different browser as I have been using chrome so I tried edge and when I click on EPG it says “The Program Guide is Empty” please refresh. Which I have done and it is still empty.
When I try this in chrome (my default browser) it just comes up with Loading and makes the CPU high on the server
I am also on 1.11.3.4793
trying to open the EPG on the plex app on my android shows a blank screen (No EPG)
should i try configuring my DVR again (HDHomeRun Connect)
After I upgraded to v1.11.3.4793 I deleted and re-installed my DVR. I know that has fixed EPG issues on the last few versions so it may be worth a try. My EPG refreshes used to take 30-40 minutes and now take 80-90 minutes for the same channels. You wont lose your recording priority or schedule when you delete and re-add your dvr.
yeah I am trying this now. It seems that if you try to run plex in chrome and click on the EPG it fails/hangs. In edge it works (but still say its loading) I think this needs to be looked into should have left plex on the older version, but it did say it “fixed” a lot of DVR issues. /sigh
I’ve got the same issue as posted above. Logs flooded with the same message, server taking obscene amounts of CPU power and the guide not accessible at all on any device - If I try to access it using any browser (except Edge), the browser just locks up.
Server version 1.11.3.4793
Deleted and re-added my DVR, the CPU is going stupid trying to get the new EPG data and browsers are still freezing.
same issue 1.11.3.4793, DVR/livetv is broken, 100,000’s of these in the PMS .logs
cant delete the DVR those settings wont load.

I just uninstalled the new version of PMS and installed the previous version from my server’s updates folder. Working perfectly now. Is definitely an issue with this version.

Ok. Devs can use git bisect to find the wrong commit.
v1.11.3.4793 Currently running it’s seventh EPG refresh since installed 2 days ago.
Synology NAS with Dual Core Intel Atom D2700 @ 2.13 GHz.
Only thing I’ve noticed are the EPG refreshes take twice as long (80+ minutes) as they used to (36+ minutes).
If I’m looking at “Settings->Live TV & DVR” while the EPG is Refreshing, CPU usage for the PMS process is about 20%, with peaks to 30%.
Thanks for the reports! We’ve got a release candidate in the pipeline with a possible fix to this issue. We have one tester who has been able to reproduce issue and who has confirmed this build fixes it, but we would like so more verification from users before releasing it. If we can get some additional testing with this build today, that would be great as we’d like to pull the trigger to release asap.

At start up things seemed better. Plex wasn’t eating up my CPU. Once started, I go to the “Program Guide” page where I’m told “The Program Guide is Empty” so I go to my DVR settings and hit refresh, it goes to 0% and Initializing. Then after 10-20 seconds, it returns to “Refresh Program Guide”
After that going to the Program Guide page, it’s still blank. So it’s not killing my PC, but it’s also not showing me the EPG.
What is this supposed to fix?
Installed and running v1.11.3.4799-4492e1bf9.
EPG refresh at 25% after 30 minutes. EPG Refresh CPU load same as last version ~20-30%.
Program Guide takes about 3 seconds to load (same as last version) while EPG is refreshing.
Will report back when EPG Refresh completes.
