We have station(s) in our market that will change frequencies in Phase 0 of the upcoming FCC repack, the accelerated repack window that occurs in May. I don’t recall seeing a partial scan option when I set up my DVR and I DO remember it being a cumbersome process to set up 9 tuners (two quad cards shows up as four groups of two tuners each). There was no ability to copy profiles across tuners and I had to manually do the station assignments for the 35 of 90+ stations in our market. YUP, cumbersome as all get out and I don’t relish the thought of doing this multiple times in the future as the repack occurs over the next few years.
Will you be providing new functionality or tools to ease this problem? At the very least a copy of tuner information so the setup can be done once and copied would seem relatively simple. I know that’s always a dangerous statement for software development but … Partial scan and or manual frequency reassignment to existing configurations would also help. Even my budget TVs can do that!
PLEASE help ease the upcoming pain.
