Topic title says it all :)
To support current or future Live TV implementations we need support for transcoding transport streams.

+1 This would enable us to watch our tv-channels in any browser. As it is now DVBLink uses Windows Media Player-plugin for their web interface.
I believe this would also benefit for example users of the dreambox plugin and enable them to access their tv-channels on more devices.

guys, click "like" in the first post, to make this thread "popular" - not just write "+1" ;)
Please support livetv. I need livetv for sports.

maybe the title isn't really the best headline :/ it's not a cliffhanger, u know? :D
with "LiveTV" in the title, i think the thread views would have been doubled :(
can a PlexNinja change that? :D
anyway, i think the PlexTeam should really focus on this fix of the transport streams. LiveTV has been requested and ignored countless times for a long time. Now DVBLink has done the Job for them. I think the minimum of support would be fixing this issue.
also Plex want's to be a "complete solution". but it's incomplete without LiveTV. Now is the easiest chance to change this.

hmm.. i was hoping, there would be more responses :(
Well I've got to say, while I liked this idea b/c it seems like a great feature to have, I'm wonder if it is useful for most plex users. My thought is that most Plex users are cord cutters, using plex to get the content that their cable use to provide, so that may be why it's not a more popular feature.
At least our topic now marked as "HOT" :)
I very much would like to see this supported. I've begun using DVBLink to record OTA and QAM programs. And while I have had some success at including DVBLink's output directory in my PLEX library, this is only good for /recorded/ shows. Would really like the ability to watch stuff live and have PLEX handle the transcoding similarly to stored streams.
BTW... it's worth noting that DVBLogic are beta testing a plug-in that hopefully will better link DVBLink and PLEX. http://forum.dvblogic.com/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=25804
Since home media is a major component of Plex, better live TV support even if it is just better internal support for 3rd party plugins seems like a good match for plex.
+1 for this feature.
