This, “(signal often is not perfect, with occasional breakup of picture)”, is your problem. I had the issue in Plex as well. I added a second antenna, because I needed it pointed in two different directions, and it really improved my signal. I now have no breakup or pix-elation of any kind and I have had 2 full days and something like 60 recorded shows that have run perfect. Commercial removal and all… If you cannot get a good solid signal I think you are going to have to switch to something else to record with because Plex is just to sensitive.
