Since PMS 1.7.5, my recordings are hanging with the transcoder process failing to terminate. Today I came home with 7 recordings hung. If I do manage to get one to finish, it is usually stopped early.
I am on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Attached is the recording schedule and logs.
having same issues, removed everything, reinstalled , still hangs. Ive had to go back to using the HDHomerun DVR. very disappointing the steps backwards that seem to be continually happening lately
Same thing with me on a Qnap NAS and v1.7.5.4035. Usually by the next day they have finished, but I haven’t sat around and watched them until they finish. I can tell that the file doesn’t move into it’s final storage folder while the recording appears to be hung.
It’s currently 1:21am when this was capture. 17 minutes after the latest recording should have ended.
Its been happening to me too. I have been slowing uninstalling/installing back versions and waiting to see if the problem reoccurs. I was having the same problem on 1.7.4. I am currently on 1.7.0.3840. I installed it this morning. I need to wait a couple of days to see if the problem reoccurs.

I just reverted back to 1.6.1.3722 to see if the problem will go away. DVR functionality for me has become totally useless because of these issues.
Maybe the problem is with the HDhomerun firmware? I am runnng the latest version 20170612beta1 and I have been having problems for the past 3-4 weeks. What version of firmware is evereyone else running? If 20170612beta1, when did you upgrade? It’s kind of odd that I have backed up to 1.7.0 and I am still having problems. With 1.74, 1.7.5, and 1.7.6, it was the 100% recorded but it never finished. With 1.7.0, the recording are finishing early (only partially recording). Some are only recording 1-5 minutes. I’ve been running my DVR for a very long time with minimal issues. I am frustrated with these problems.

I’m running 20161117, and seeing the recordings get cut short. Thinking back, I don’t seem to be getting as many recordings with glitches. Either it’s a full good recording or it get cuts short. On my weaker channels I used to get recordings with lots of glitches throughout (sometimes having to be repaired by TS doctor before it would even play all the way through).
I’m guessing Plex is just stopping the recording instead of trying to finish it with glitches.

I scheduled a task to restart the PMS service every morning because a fresh restart seemed to alleviate the problem for a short while but so far it appears that it is only working for about half the day as my late afternoon and evening recordings are still hanging. Sometimes there is an associated file in the .grab folder (though predominantly a partial file when there is) but usually not. I haven’t seen anything in the logs so far that jumps out to me what the problem might be.
I’m having issues as well the past 2-3 weeks. Every program records…in fact I believe it seems as though the whole program records and then I get about 45 seconds and that’s it.
