Sounds like a framework bug that would be impossible to fix by changing code within FileBot. Maybe upgrading / downgrading your JVM might work. Maybe changing graphics acceleration settings used by Java / Java Swing might work.
Sorry, I’ve got no clue on this one, and I don’t currently have a Linux machine (with GUI) for testing.
