everything works good with 0.6.0. now it doesn’t
my tv can handle ac3 and dts. both options are enabled and there is no audio

Same here, after updating there’s no sound on direct play Analog out, I can’t seem to get it to have any sound on the analog out port.
btw. my tv gets his sound from the hdmi cable (digital)
Go to your audio settings and scroll down 1 option past the speaker setup, check HDMi is the Audio Output in both settings. .7.0 has two Audio Output options
what works is to say the receiver doest support ac3 and dts in the options.
its ok right now. im waiting for a fix
I have the same problem, but for me rasplex 6.0 didn’t work as well.
version 0.5 worked without problems.
Settings in 0.7
both options set to HDMI
enabled DTS and AC3
set speakers to 5.1
= No Sound
disabled DTS and AC3
=Sound, but no 5.1 only front speaker.
Receiver supports AC3 and DTS, and it worked with 0.5
Is the receiver an Onkyo?

Are you sure your TV supports AC3 and DTS, what’s the make and model number?

The second option only affects music audio playback, the first one is for video audio playback.
If you only have HDMI output set both to HDMI
If you have HDMI output for video and Analogue or HiFiBerry for music output set first one to HDMI and second to Analogue or HiFiBerry (HiFiBerry option only appears if you have one attached and configured).
If you have only Analogue output for video and music, set both to Analogue (Analog).

Got the exact same issue. HDMI passthrough to my Sony soundbar. Worked perfectly on 0.6

Its nothing to do with Onkyo recievers.
And yeah despite the original post saying it was just the centre channel missing it is the rear channels too.
Regular DD5.1 and regular DTS files.
Audio would not work for 0.6.0, upgraded to 0.7.0 hoping that would fix, it did not. Downgraded back to 0.5.1 audio works again.

Fix coming in next release, updated components screwed the channel assignments for certain setups.

@NedtheNerd I don’t mean to be rude but, is this update going going to be a patch version or a minor version? A patch version (if possible) would be terrific since there passes quit some time between minor versions. This bug makes it almost unable to watch a HD movie with audio.
If you need any specific information about my receiver (pioneer) and it’s settings or want me to try a test build I would be happy to assist.

Yeah, support in this section is nearly as bad as that for Plex Inc’s official clients.

For the record, with 0.7.0, and the suggested settings, DTS and AC3 passthrough are working fine for me with an Integra (Onkyo-made) DHC-80.3. Additionally, as promised, it appears Rasplex is converting TrueHD to multichannel PCM on the fly. Question: What should I expect from DTS-HD MA? With the suggested settings above, my Integra is getting just the DTS core. Any chance DTS-HD MA can be converted on the fly to PCM (or even better just a bitstream passthrough) in the near future?

Analogue output only supports two channel audio, have you set speakers to 2.0?

SSH into your RPi and enter tvservice -a this will return the audio support for your TV, if it only returns:
PCM supported: Max channels: 2, Max samplerate: 48kHz, Max samplesize 16 bits.
then your TV doesn’t support AC3 and DTS and you should uncheck DD, DD+ and DTS and set Speakers to 2.0.
