I first asked Synology for support because my NAS would shut down every few days and require a hard power off to restart. Synology reviewed the logs and said it was the Plex Server that was causing the crash due to consuming all available memory (32GB). I then tried several updates to the latest betas to see if this has been fixed but have tried at least 4 versions and none of them fixed the problem. I downloaded and installed the latest beta on May 17 and the NAS didn’t even make it one day before crashing again. For a week I left the Plex server disabled and the NAS ran fine. I’m happy to provide logs or whatever you need.
Thanks for the quick response. DLNA was not enabled on my Plex server. I’ve attached the log.zip.
Logs.zip (1.8 MB)
I went through all the steps as described. My music file is large (4 TB), so it’s taking a while to scan. Photos and Videos look good. I also upgraded to the latest beta that came out today. I’ll let it run overnight and hopefully it doesn’t crash before the scan finishes.
