Just got a synology DS1019 and installed PLEX that I downloaded from PLex, it keeps crashing without anything going on. The only thing it is doing is scanning 2 libraries I added. Purchased the lifetime pass before I noticed it crashing, Now I feel stupid. Any help would be appreciated
For me it never crashed like for you but I also got as Synology NAS (DS1817+)
Pls try to download the latest PMS (LINK) for Synology NAS, its currently the Version 1.16.0.1226-7eb2c8f6f and try again.
If done so, you at least tried it in the latest version. If it still does not work you should provide Logs from your PMS.
Also you did not buy a Plex Pass, otherwise it would show it here next to your Icon.
I just uninstalled 1.15.8.1198-eadbcbb45 and installed the version 1.13.4.5271-200287a06 that came with my DS1019 that I received thursday 6-13-19 before I read your reply. I will see if this version crashes and if yes I will try the newest version you suggested
Yes 1.13.4.5271-200287a06 is also for me the latest official Version from Synology Package Center.
For me everything is running very good on my Syno-NAS in Version 1.16.0.1226-7eb2c8f6f

It just crashed on 1.13.4.5271-200287a06 so trying out the older version did not help.
I removed it and trying the latest Version 1.16.0.1226-7eb2c8f6f
Well if even the older version crashed I bet it also will crash on the newer version…
Could you provide a bit more infos about your Synology NAS?
How much RAM?
Which DSM version?
Also Logs from your PMS would be good!
8GB ram that came with the unit, latest 6.22 dsm, how do I get logs? I am a newbie so sorry

I cant help you there, also I think that this Log is not enough.
Just go to your PMS/PMP and download the Logs… should download as a .zip and should be some MBs big (mine is 2.7MB)
Append this ZIP here at your next Post. Which is called something like
“Plex Media Server Logs_2019-06-17_05-XX-XX.zip”
No wait untill as Mod/Employe sees that and reacts on.

Thanks for trying to help, I hope someone from Plex will resolve this because Shelling out $120 for lifetime pass and keeps crashing is a nightmare
Thanks for the logs but would you please go back and turn VERBOSE OFF again?
Because you turned it on (which is overkill in these matters), We lost the data needed.
We unfortunately need to catch it again.
When in VERBOSE mode, the logs only capture about 2-3 minutes of elapsed time.
sure, just turned it off, listening to ACDC and will see if it crashes in the next 7 minutes which has been happening that frequent
