On my server that records OTA broadcasts, I choose to transcode them down to 720p using the “optimize for mobile” preset. Using 9685 a 3GB file 1080p reduced to 1.4GB. Using 9799 and all of the betas in between, the 3GB file increased to 3.8GB. It appears the release notes made note of this anomaly but I am not sure it has been fully resolved. I am reverting back to 9685 for the time being.
