Hi All! I have a Raspberry Pi 4 set up as a NAS. I run a Transmission client on it and a Plex server. I don’t use SD card, instead I have a flash drive attached (to the USB 3 port) to it and the OS is running from the flash drive. There’s also an external HDD where I store my movies. I think my router is good enough for high data transfer, I have an Asus RT-AC68U router, running Asus Merlin on it. The Pi is attached through LAN port, to maximize data transfer. There’s a Fire Tv stick 4K attached to my TV, with a Plex client on it. The WiFi signal is quite good, since the router is only a few feet away from the TV. I turned off the Transmission client while I tried to stream this movie, so that shouldn’t be interfering the network. The problem is, some full HD movies are lagging and this way it’s not enjoyable to watch movies. I really want to find out how to improve my system to make watching these videos enjoyable on Plex. - I’ve pleyed the same video on Kodi and it doesen’t lagging. So there’s gotta be something with the Plex.
