Hi, I’m experiencing 2 different issues with 2 separate TV Shows.
On my Plex server itself, using Sonarr I got The Flash Season 7. I then deleted and re-downloaded the season a few times (getting a different version). Somewhere along the way for some reason now it seems Plex is deleting The Flash automatically. At first I thought it was Sonarr, but I’ve since removed the show from it and it’s still doing it. Anything I should try? Luckily I saved those files, so I can add it back in easily but don’t know what to do from here.
For Star Wars: The Clone Wars I renamed all the seasons and set it to the Absolute Order in Plex (for my Chronological re-watch of it, so much better doing it this way!). On my Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ Tablet I tried to download the shows but something’s not working right there either. I know I screwed up a few times and forgot to go back a level to the “Season 1” folder and started to download a single episode. I did that a few times, then went to delete that download and started again with the last 5 latest episodes is where I run into the issue. Basically it starts the download, looks like it complete but when I go to play it I can an error and then disappears and restarts the download. After having a playback issue with my Downloads (I had to access the access Media setting), I was able to play back other Movies and TV Shows.
After Flash is added edit the show and check that Delete episodes after playing is not set to some interval for it. It’s the only thing I can think of that would ever auto delete
sounds like something might have gotten corrupt or the app things something is corrupt with download so it deletes and tries again but would need to examine the android logs
We’re half way there! Re-added The Flash back in and checked the show like you said, and for some reason it was automatically set to Delete episodes after playing “On next refresh”. Wonder why that got changed somewhere along the way, I def didn’t set it to that.
Another thing I noticed was for Star Trek: The Next Generation I downloaded the “Next 5 unplayed episodes”, I watched an episode yesterday (finished it at home on my SHEILD TV Pro 2019). I then noticed it went to download the next unplayed episodes, so it’s at 5 again. But it looks like the last episode I played is still there and there’s no way to delete it. It should delete automatically right? This is an addition to The Clone Wars download issue I’m having.
Hmm. I don’t know if Downloads supports that. I’ll have to look into it.

I don’t believe we update the watch status for partially watched items when finished from the server. This allows you to rewatch/resume that episode on the device. Go ahead and mark it as watched and it should go away.
Thanks, that might explain that issue then. If not, please add it!
After finishing the show at home yesterday, it marked as watched automatically like it always does. I then noticed on the tablet, the entire show was gone. I could always re-add it later, but I was wondering if that is normal.
If there are no more episodes, you will not see it listed. We don’t have a way to show an empty show or season. When you add the next episode to your server, it should automatically Download to the device and it will re-appear since it is no longer empty.
There were, the next ep looked like it downloaded automatically. But then that ep I watched was still there (and no way to remove it). Then the show was gone next time I checked it. Wasn’t sure if that worked the way it should or not.
Any update on the Absolute Order download supported question?

I checked and the absolute order should not matter. Downloads does not care and will still download the appropriate episodes. Or at least it did in my test.

The app does need a little bit of time to refresh. Maybe it just hadn’t refreshed the first time you looked?
I am confused on the exact specifics of what episodes were available. In your previous comment, you said you finished watching the show. If you finished, then there wouldn’t be more episodes. Is it possible your server hadn’t scanned the new episode yet, so it’s just a timing difference when the new episodes were available on the server?
Okay, think I finally figured out what the issue was. Before I’d try to just uninstall, then reinstall the app. There must of been something corrupted with those 2 shows in the old files. This time I used a App Uninstaller/Cleaner to uninstall it and knocks on wood so far it seems to be working right. Now I can download The Clone Wars which I wasn’t able to before. I’ll see how after I watch an ep if it updates it automatically. Fingers crossed.
