You can no longer download seasons or whole shows. Long press on those don’t show anything under ‘More Actions’ or in the action bar next to the title (with mark as watched, add to watchlist, etc)
My primary use for Plex on my iPad is to download shows when I travel. Downloading each episode one by one is a no go – this is unusable and a major regression in functionality.

Do you know when the download the whole season will be available? Also, why will you not introduce the download whole serie as this was very convenient to add more episodes on my iPad.
I found a bit a step back that I cannot customize which contents I want to see, for example I am not interested in Live TV but it is there.
After reading the post, downloading a whole season is the least of my worries. This hasn’t been addressed anywhere (AFAIK), when will the functionality of “Download the next X unplayed episodes” and “Delete played episodes on next refresh” come back?
I noticed this when downloading some shows for my son for a road trip. I had to select each episode. (Kids show lots of small 10 min episodes hundreds of them) Plex please fix this ASAP.
Why the hell was this removed I don’t know, because instead of one tap to download, I now have to download dozens of videos manually if I want to save them to my device. It’s absolutely ridiculous and such a backwards step.
Completely agree - this is a massive step backwards. It seems impossible to download all, or all unwatched, episodes of a show, or a season of a show. That is mostly what I use my plex pass for, so if that’s not fixed maybe my plex pass money should be returned to me!
Very frustrated here as I can’t even see the episodes of a season of a show beyond the first (S00 or S01), I can only see “next up”. I therefore cannot even download episodes individually as a workaround.
This needs fixing. NOW!

Similar to other commenters, I frequently use plex on the go. Not having the next episodes sync and update automatically anymore is a huge miss. Please bring it back.
I guess I will have to go back to using Infuse for my iPad when I travel and need to download offline content. This sucks for those of us who rely on that feature often.

This is honestly giving a Sonos level of screw up. How do you take out such key features that worked well, and not implement them as base functionality of the new app?
Agree. For TV shows downlaod next x unplayed is almost a required feature.
But why would this even be released without some of the basic features that already existed in the old app. Is there a way to re-download the old version onto my iPad?

I am literally in the same situation for my son in the Android App.
Just to let people know. Downloaded beta version 2025.14 on my phone. Sync between downloads and library works and there is is a download season/show option BUT it is all or nothing. Download whole season/show or download nothing. “Download next unwatched” in season/show is NOT an option.
You are right. The option is back there with a couple of other GUI options and performance improvements. Makes the new plex experience a lot more convenient now. We are getting there!
