One thing I really like using on the desktop is the ability to use the keyboard’s left and right keys to skip.
I know on the ipad etc we have the scroll bar along the top but it’s a bit hit and miss for those with fat fingers 
So whatever the timer is on the keyboard would be a great addition (for me) to have on my iPad.
Do you know that when scrolling the timeline, if you scroll down, you can be more precise?
However, I have also asked for the 30s back button when playing synced content.
Having just installed XBMC on my appletv whilst testing a Dolby digital problem I noticed exactly this feature request.
By pressing the left or right arrows (obviously wouldn’t be buttons on the iPad) you can skip back and forth quickly and easily. Something like this would be ideal.
I would also love to see this on the appletv plex app instead of the scroll bar, it’s far more natural/intuitive.

That have a separate fast forward, rewind and 30 second skip back and forward buttons overlayed.
Would love to see something similar in plex iOS.

Same here. I use 30 sec skip all the time on all my media players that have it. Really miss the skipping in iOS.
I hete the scrolling in the timeline. Its good for skipping 5+ minutes, but for just skipping past an intro or a boring part the 30 sec skip froward is fantastic.
One player I got, Xtreamer Sidewinder 3, is even better. There you skip 30 sec forward but 10 sec backwards. Thats good if you somehow just want a quick 20 sec skip forward.
I program my VLC to skip 3 seconds back or forth using the arrows and 15 to 45 seconds depending on Ctrl or Alt combo’s. This functionality in PMP would be an awesome addition! Of course I’d settle for the android 10 back and 30 fwd if nothing else.

Already exists in android TV… navigate “Up” to the timeline then left for 10 seconds back … right for 30 seconds forward.
