Picture freezes, dashboard shows it’s still playing…
Tried to pause as I have before but didn’t see a response on the dashboard.
Had to exit… restarted playing from the beginning, FF to about where I was…
FF shows in seconds how far your going to skip, 1860 seconds… WHAT.!!!
I don’t remember if its fixed yet, but sounds like the transcoder time out.
set to zero, if it is already at zero, then ignore this post.

direct play is irrelevant to that time out setting.
there is/was a bug that will terminate streams a few minutes after whatever minutes are set.
Well in that case the BUG is still there…
well, if you set it to zero (or several hours worth), then you will have normal playback
assuming this is the bug that is affecting you
zero it is…
But my remote users have a habit of pausing video overnight…
well… try putting it at something like 180 minutes (3 hours) or whatever floats your boat 
even better would for them to fix the BUG…
well for sure, that goes for every bug though 
I’m just advising how to avoid interrupted playback until then.
you can easily confirm the bug, just set that time out to 1 minute, then play something, it should stop within about 5 minutes or so
7.30, not 7.3. This should have been resolved already, unless there is something else at play here.
I’m still on 7.29-somethingorother as are all my ‘Friends’ with FireTVs, so it’ll be a while before we even know the next version to wait for.
We’re still waiting for 7.30.
I’m currently trying to sell the idea among the unfortunate FireTV Friends all that stuff we’re waiting for may not ever arrive and it’s probably time for us to upgrade all our stuff for at least a $100 bucks each - and I gotta tell ya it’s not being very well received given the fact that we don’t know if we’re going to have any food next week - or be alive to eat it.
At least it’s not dull.
I’m using the latest beta version 7.31 for the fire stick and it happened…
Also I see that there still are issues with the FTV 4k stick ExoPlayer;
EDIT… I don’t want to muddy the waters, I see there are other posts and if the moderators want to combine this one with others of the same topic thats fine.
Also, to clarify the APP did not crash it just froze the picture, none of the play buttons worked according the dashboard. I was able to exit the video back to the p;lay screen.
