I have been using the Fire TV 4K stick with PMS Version 1.18 with no quality problems.
Upgraded PMS to the 1.19.1.2645 and the very first show there were issues.
PMS decided that the 1080p h264 show needed to be in SD… got me here…
Restarted the show and it direct plays but freezes after 20 mins, dashboard shows paused. cannot unpause or play it have to exit the show…
Play the same show this time it transcodes from 1080p h264 to 1080p h264 and also the audio from AAC Stereo to AAC…
The odd thing is that it says local but it actually show the public IP…
The picture is pixelated bad…
restart again…
This time it’s better…
These picures are no more then a few minutes apart and nothing has been rebooted. Just exit the program and start play again.
It still says local but has the public IP picture is good again link the first time.
Fire stick is set to play local and remote at max…
well it froze again…
watched 5:01 minutes… screen shows circle of death…
Play Stop FF RW buttons do nothing exit again…
Going to try it again…
That was short… got an error can’t play media…
Trying again… and we are playing…
froze again…
11 minutes in this time…
going to try to play something else.
This was quick…
Screen is blank, and no audio at all. but the dashboard shows it playing.
going to restart it…

13 minutes in circle of death…
can’t keep it this way going to roll back PMS since that is what was changed last…
Installed PMS Version 1.19.1.2630 see if I have better luck…

NOTE: local is now actually a local IP…
Both shows played all the way through without a problem…
Those PMS versions all have a problem…
