I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one owning a 360 camera and amassing more and 360 video footage and photos.
While I mostly use the footage for reframing in post production, I still keep the original files to “go back to places I’ve been” or share the experience with someone else.
Since there’s more and more footage from private trips, I don’t really want to upload that stuff to some platform (Youtube, Facebook, Vimeo, etc.)
(Also there’s a dedicated quad Xeon with loads of RAM and even more drive space sitting in my rack just for Plex.)
Wouldn’t it be great to be able to just drop those files into a network share and have Plex serve them to all devices running a Plex viewer app?
(I guess the conversion to 2:1 aspect ratio flat files is out of the question because of the many proprietary files, so that’s something every user would have to do on his own…)
