Feature Request: 360 Video Catalog and Play 360 Videos With Camera Angle Control

With the increasing number of 360 Video camera options on the market, GoPro Fusion shipping this December I think it would be great if Plex included the ability to create a 360 Video Library for 360 Video files, the ability to play them back on all plex app platforms, and the ability to control the camera angle.

Camera angle control support could be done in several ways, game controller on XBOX and Play Station. Remote control for Fire TV Roku. Another great option for camera control would be to add a touch control pad to the Plex mobile app. Make it a remote control for Plex players on the network and include a touch area where you can swipe your finger around in a box to pan and tilt the camera angle.
I think this would be a great add to the platform.

I too am interested. I have the GoPro Fusion and would love the ability to share 360 videos that I’ve shot

Now that Google Photos is moving away from the free unlimited upload I’ve started moving over to Plex to handle my photos. I was bemused to see that it isn’t recognizing my 360 photos and videos since Google Photos has handled them correctly for some time now.

Definitely not a deal breaker but I do hope we see this soon.
