Sorry but this wasn’t even true at the time you wrote it. Apps are allowed to switch display modes for things like refresh rate (24fps) and stereoscopic. See this article
But you guys know that because the last time you made this claim, someone who is a developer even told you how to do it.
Interestingly, that thread was locked. It says it was “automatically locked” because their were no replies in 90 days even though older threads with no replies (for example, this thread) weren’t locked. So can 3D switching be put onto the feature request list since the apps are allowed to do that now (and have for two years)? Do we have to publicly shame you guys the same way Netflix had to be in order to add 24fps support?
