Windows 10, 3.5 ghz i5, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1060, 500Mbs up/down, Hardware transcode is on.
I have 2 Rokus in the house, both on 1080p TVs both apps set to 720p 4mbs. The Premiere+ buffers when trying to watch a 4K file. The Roku Stick 4K does not buffer. My android phone also buffers when the server transcodes but plays fine with Direct. My Shied TV on a 4K Tv also does not buffer with direct play.
I believe this has to do with the chunk files the Plex Server is creating to stream the transcodes but 1080p files do not buffer anywhere.
Last thing I did before the logs was to try and play a 4K HDR file at 720p to my Android phone.
Obviously my system can handle the tasks just by looking at the specs but also because it works when streaming to the Roku Stick 4K.
