So I upgraded my PC with a AMD ryzen 7 2700x CPU with a benchmark rating around 16k. New motherboard also. Thinking this may allow me to transcode 4k. Before it used to buffer like crazy but now with the new hardware it plays for a few seconds then just stops and goes to previous menu screen. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

My monitor is not 4k so I’m not really sure how that works on the computer. 1080 works great on the Roku. BTW it’s the best Roku on the market. If I set Roku to direct play it will work but the Roku is doing all the work. I looked at my PC performance when transcoding and it was barely working. Could it be a transfer rate issue.

~ Webbrowser Plex > Settings > Help > Download logs
~ Upload that zip package here for perusal.

Good morning. Well the server log looks okfine, and looking at the Plex Transcoder Statistics could we try an experiment?..
~ Restart/Reboot devices & server.
~ Play a 1080 h264 video at ur current PMS settings on the Roku
~ Then play a hevc 4k h265 video at settings on the Roku
~ report what happens on both, then upload those pms logs for comparison. This is what it looks like in this log and I wanna compare endtimes…
