Feature request: it would be cool af if you could add badges to movies in folders, like the ability to designate a “4K” badge or “IMAX” badge to a thumbnail and poster, either based on movies in a certain folder, or by analyzing the movie to determine its properties.
I have a movies folder and 4k movies and an IMAX folder. As a result, in plex, some sorts and displays will show identical versions of movies next to each other. One may have to do a lot of clicking to figure out which one is 4K and which one is 1080p and which one is IMAX.
On top of 3rd party solutions as posted by kazz3r24, there’s already an existing feature suggestion discussing an option for Plex to add a “quality” overlay on the poster. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate (in favor of the linked thread).
