4K Playback Failing

Server Version#: 1.24.3.5033
Player Version#: SHIELD Android TV 8.23.1.28053
Player Version#: Plex for Apple TV 7.23

I have a fairly robust server that none of my streaming boxes seem to be able to play 4K content from.

Server Specs:
Intel i7-7700 3.6GHZ
64GB RAM
Nvidia P2000
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Streaming Boxes:
AppleTV 4K (2021) (Wired)
Nvidia Shield TV Pro (Wired)

Plex is NOT running in Docker, and hardware acceleration has been enabled, and is functioning correctly… I am unsure as to what logs I should be reviewing to begin troubleshooting my issue, and any advice would be appreciated.

TIA

Did you already have a look at the now-playing tile for such a failing stream to see if/what might be causing this? I have a suspicion you might have some issue with a not-supported subtitle format that’ll cause the server to transcode the video via CPU/software only (subtitle burn-in)… and while your processor should be fairly capable w/ transcoding such a 4K video using its iGPU, the bare CPU is not powerful enough to do that job.

Thank you for your response. I never get a now playing tile because the file never actually begins playback. I am certain that the transcoding has been off loaded to the P2000 because I can see the transcode is (HW) for some of my remote users. I am unsure of the subtitle issue; how would I verify?

Same issue. I can watch certain 4k videos. But some I can’t. I’ll see if I can post some details.
