Hey everyone
I have an Apple TV in my family room running Plex into a Sonos Playbar. Since the Playbar doesn’t support DTS it hasn’t really been an issue.
I’m now considering on in my basement because I am continually having problems with my Roku.
Since Apple seems to have no intention of supporting DTS pass through whatsoever, what limitations will I experience if I lose DTS? I do have a pretty good 7.1 system in my basement but it’s not audiophile grade or anything like that.
Will I still have 7.1? The Apple support page says it will send the best possible.
What does that mean?
Or, since Plex is my source, will Plex transcode before it goes to the Apple TV?
