I’m trying to play some 5.1 tracks on the Plex player in my Apple TV and while it plays the audio, it is being converted to 2.0 for some reason. Could 5.1 support be added to Plex Music? Videos with 5.1 audio plays just fine.

Are you able to please give us an update? One of my primary uses of PLex involves being able to play multi-channel audio-only files. So this is, relatively speaking of course, a pretty major problem for me.
There are a few parts involved here, but it’s on our radar!

Thank you kindly for the update. It’s very much appreciated. I hope you guys can prioritize this. Bizarrely, Plex for Kodi works just fine, but I don’t want to use Kodi, so I’m patiently waiting for surround music again.

Thanks! Just wanted to add I’m a big fan of Mulit-channel FLAC and would love to see this feature re-instated.
