7.1 audio issues (solved)

Player Version#: 1.05 (PS4 PRO)

Ever since I have upgraded the plex media server to version 1.15.2.793-782228f99, any video file with 7.1 will no longer play correctly on the playstation 4. The audio crackles constantly. Most recent files I’ve tried were Aquaman and Bumblebee. Any other users experiencing this? I’ve been using plex for awhile on the PS4 and this is the first time I’ve run into any issue. It’s killing me, I’ve been reduced to plugging in my laptop now directly into the HDMI port on my tv when I prefer to use plex

I had to uncheck the setting Dolby Digital Plus (EAC3) on the PS4 to correct this issue

I’m having a similar problem with 7.1, but with my setup I’m not getting anything from my surround and rear speakers. I have plex on a pc plugged into my denon 7.1 AVR using an hdmi cable. Kodi has all 7 speakers working, but not plex.

Ah thank you! I was having this problem with only TRUEHD tracks. Unchecking EAC3 worked.
