I recently added a classic television series with 1230 episodes. the first 209 episodes seem to be merged with the next 209 episodes (the preview shows a [2] in the upper corner of each). No more than 999 Episodes show as available for the series as a whole.
Episodes in the directory at named s01e01-s01e1230.
Dark Shadows only has one season. there are 1245 episodes (per imdb). What I have is the box set collection which has 1230 episodes. I’m not sure what you looked at that only had 237 episodes, but it isn’t this show.
What I need to know is how to make it read the files correctly so that it doesn’t double up the first 209 and the second 209 (see second image in my OP) and to make it recognize all of the episodes not just 999 (see first image in my OP.
Plex uses TheTVDB for TV show metadata. What’s on IMDb is irrelevant for TV shows in Plex.
TheTVDB has Dark Shadows (1966) in 12 seasons, so that’s what you should use as well.
Otherwise you’ll have to type in the metadata by hand.
(Or you take up the task and complete the “DVD ordering” of episodes on TheTVDB, which appears to have been left unfinished.) https://thetvdb.com/series/dark-shadows
If you have more than 99 episodes in a season, make sure to use a 3-digit episode number on all files, e.g. s01e001 – s01e237
