Sync for Plex*

I was bored an made a chrome extension that tries to keep your Plex Web videos in sync with other users.

Important: Make sure to use the html5 player instead of the flash player. To do this you need to go to settings -> Web -> player -> check html5 player

To use the extension:

  1. User A loads and pauses the desired plex media
  2. In the extension click start session, and you will get a session id
  3. Send this id to user B
  4. User B loads and pauses the same plex media
  5. User B inputs the session id and clicks join session
  6. User A is the host and controls the playback of the media

Disclaimer: The direct play videos sync better than transcode videos. Transcoded videos trying to stay in sync with the host may get an error that it cannot play the current media. I plan on fixing this soon.
