A new/revamped bash script to auto-update Plex on the Synology NAS platform

Hi @michealespinola. I feel like such a fool. Of course this was due to the old Plex Public Key disappearing. I keep forgetting that it just randomly happens regularly. Thanks for taking the time for putting this answer together for me and others.

I have to admit, I’ve hardly ever used Github and even less reported an issue. I’ll make sure to do so next time.

@ChuckPa’s post does make me fret quite a bit though!

No. i said no such thing.
You love to put words in my mouth, don’t you?

I’m working on Synology.

I did take our posts out.
My post was not worded right.
No sense on spinning wild rumors. You know what that will do.

What would you do if your “Plex Backup” was 2 files and if I could both export and import them in the Syno GUI?

OR

What if you could claim a Plex server anywhere with a token during setup?

I’d probably giggle with delight :grinning:

It sounds like you guys are working on some terrific things, which is a part of the reason I haven’t taken any potentially unnecessary steps with the script regarding DSM7.

Thank you for all you do, and for keeping us in the loop! :love_you_gesture:
