Hi, Plex would no longer allow me to sign into my account with my old login. It insisted on an email address. I therefore created a new account. After creating the new account, the plex program could no longer find my QNAP NAS unit. Research recommended un-installing and re-installing the program on my NAS which I did.
During launch of the re-installed Plex on my NAS, it was looking for the NAS when the following error popped up -
“A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.”
It recommended attaching my log in this forum and hope for the best - great system. However I am unable to retrieve the log because it has not found the server yet in order to create any logs. There is no Settings-Server-help to follow in order to retrieve the log.
So am stuck and was wondering if anybody can help or have a suggestion. Thanks

The "A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server." error is displayed if during First Run (new server install) the python plugin agents processes do not start in time and the web plex app times out and gives this error
Sometimes a restart would resolve
See if you can get the logs if the problem does not go away
