I have plex pass. I discovered that if you create a subnet on a computer on your local network and access your plex server via the web, managed user support disappears, and you have full access to the plex server. Am I missing something here? I was quite shocked when my server popped up, wide open.
What does that mean?
Take a look into
Settings - Server - Network - ‘Show Advanced’ - “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth”
Any network or host addresses listed in this field don’t need to authenticate – thus access restrictions don’t exist for them.
That was it. I set it while I was configuring my FreeNAS Plex installation and was having difficulties retrieving media information. Thanks.
