AAC Audio has recently (I believe with Roku 10.0 auto update) stopped playing and gives a loud broken audio sound where it used to play 6 channels of DD sound. DTS working and other sources working but Roku 4 running 10.0 on 2 seperate Roku’s produced the same broken audio sound. I’m using the Roku 4’s because I have an older Denon receiver in my theatre that can’t pass 4k HDMI video to my projector so I use toslink to get the audio to the receiver and HDMI to send the video to my theatre room projector.
On a different setup with a newer receiver in another room the roku’s are decoding and playing AC3 as DD so I’m stumped. So far the only work around I’ve been able to figure out is playing everything as stereo. Bad receiver maybe? Please help.
