Is there an aarch64/armv8 compiled version of Plex available for FreeBSD yet? My next NAS box will likely be ARMv8 based. Given there’s already a linux aarch64 install, I’m hoping this won’t be a major step.
There’s currently no plans of adding support to other then “amd64” for FreeBSD, one can never speak about the future with certainty but this is unlikely to happen.
Note that this platforms is considered “tier 2” by FreeBSD, meaning is not fully supported/maintained see https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/articles/committers-guide/archs.html so even the system might not worked perfect (or at all) and support for ports is not guaranteed. On Linux the story is different, there’s lots of NAS/embebed systems running on this and other archcs that are fully support by Linux and/or OS vendors.
