It would be really sweet to be able to direct link content from my plex with a url for people on discord wether they are invitet to my plex or not. I’ve got several music videos that youtube removed that i can only find on my plex and i would like the option to just drop a link and let people stream it from me on discord.
There’s been a feature suggestion asking for that exact option which had been declined by Plex. IIRC there were some other threads where it was mentioned that this will bring Plex too close to what’s considered file sharing (time limited or not… because everyone with that URL can post it publicly and people from all over the internet will be able to jump on it).
TL;DR: closing this suggestion based on the previous rejection by Plex.
