I really enjoyed Plex’s old feature that allowed remote controlling of various clients. However it had various bottlenecks such as the pre-requisitory of having the server and the client on the same network etc. I would love to see a http remote api implemented where we can control the playback more in depth with seeking, play/pause and stop functions. Also subtitle/dub changing option. I know that would be a lot of work on the client side however watch together is already implemented which could be a great starting point for pausing the content.
I believe it would be extremely convenient to be able to remote control our favorite plex clients with any device.
