Hallelujah... :-D

And that's with

a.) DNS in aTV set to your PlexConnect machine?

b.) triggered Trailers and found the "accessing ..." message on screen?

My guess: Firewall. You got to open ports 53, 80, 443 in/out for python/PlexConnect.

Me again

Opened the ports on the computer but still nothing.

Do you want me to send over the log file again?

thanks

Yeah sure... but as long as you don't see any "DNS requests" you have issues with something outside of PlexConnect: Either wrong DNS in your aTV, your router not forwarding port 53 requests, or some piece of software stopping the calls coming in. In those cases the log won't help, you got to figure out what's preventing aTV to communicate correctly.

Are you changing the DNS of the AppleTV to the IP of the machine Plex server is running on?

And did the certificates come over when following the wireless tutorial?

Once the ATV can connect to PlexConnect then all the features (Netflix etc) will return.

Need to make sure there are no other programs running that use the same ports.

But you’ve probably already gone through it all. Hope you get it sorted. Its really great when it works.

Got it working thanks for all the help

It helps if you post what you did to fix it so others can benefit.

Started again so uninstalled  everything and then installed everything from scratch and it seemed to do the job

I am happy you got this all working, but from what I read you didn't set your PMS machine to a static IP, and it didn't look like your were changing the DNS to manual and then adjusting it to the static IP address of your PMS machine?

Am I off here guys?
