About uploading videos and using them with plex cloud?

For videos: MP4, Quicktime, AVI, MTS, MPG, ASF, WMV, Flash, and OGG. Videos less than 20 minutes in length and smaller than 2 GB in size can be streamed through the Amazon Drive website and mobile applications. Amazon Drive streaming is not available for videos longer than 20 minutes or larger than 2 GB, but these can be stored in Amazon Drive for you to download and watch offline.

The above text is copied from Amazon Drive information. My question is I have mkv video files and some are over 3GB in size for 1080p. How can I use these files with plex cloud if Amazon won’t accept these files? Also I have over 12,000 movies and tv shows that I have collected over the years. Can I upload all of them to the Amazon drive for use with Plex Cloud?

The limitations you outline here apply to using ACD (Amazon Cloud Drive) via their website. When using their API, these limitations do not exist.

MKV files cannot be played by ACD’s website, but Plex Cloud will transcode these files for devices that cannot play MKV.

A Plex Ninja has indicated that he successfully uploaded a 48GB file.

Correct. That text is describing accessing videos through Amazon’s Website and streaming through them. You can upload any size file to ACD if you use something other than their website, such as the Amazon Drive program.
