Ok, so… I have a lot of movies on my hard drive. I wanted to organize them and allow people in our family to view them on the tv and on their mobile. So far Plex has solved this problem, except that I have to sign in with my personal account on every mobile device that will use/control chrome casts otherwise they won’t be able to cast. That’s fine since I kinda know the people living with me.
We also have couch surfers though, and people coming to visit, I want them to have access (if they are on my local network, either wireless or wired). However if they download the app, login with their username (no way I’m giving them my Google account), they cannot play a video on their phone for more than 1 minute. How in the world am I supposed to share my collection of movies with visitors. It said specifically that when I got this Pass I would be able to share with like the babysitter and friends. There’s no way someone is logging in to their personal account on the babysitters phone… I don’t get it.
