Hm. From my point of view all of your log files look pretty reasonable. I don't think PlexConnect does anything wrong.
Could you check if your PMS is responding in those situations? Like trying to open the video/thumbnails on another machine? Check the logs for addresses... like...
With "transcoded" URLs you got to change the & to & only.
If PMS is responding, giving you the data, PlexConnect would have rendered the addresses correctly - aTV should be capable of pulling them as well... Why it wouldn't? I have no idea... iOS issue?
If PMS is NOT responding, there would be something wrong with your PMS.
By the way... do you use Background artwork/fanart? Those files are served from PlexConnect, once it had a chance to cache them. Do you still get those files if no other media works?
No, I don't use Background artwork/fanart at all. Maybe I should turn that on and see what happens?
I'll check the PMS from another device next time it's acting up, but I've never had it be a problem before. Also, the problem fixes itself if I reboot the aTV, so I don't think it could be an issue with the PMS. Could it be a memory issue with the aTV? Maybe I "need" to pick up a 3rd gen aTV ;)
Try turning off the airport express as i am not sure blocking it will stop the ATV from trying to connect to it if it is the stronger signal (not sure if you have is setup transparently or showing as a separate network either)
I unplugged the Airport Express and the problem still persists. The Airport Express was set up as a transparent extension of the original network. I guess another approach would be to wire the aTV into the AirportExpress.
It's probably just easier if I reboot the aTV every time I go to use it. It may be easier than troubleshooting this issue, especially since no one else appears to have it. Even with these hassles, I'm still extremely impressed with PlexConnect. Wish I had switched to it sooner.
