I have two external raid drives, and one was disconnected because it wasn’t needed yet. Yesterday, I connected it and moved about 250 movies to it, figuring plex would do the usual magic and seamlessly discover them, as it’s done in the past. I failed to realize I hadn’t pointed the movie library to that drive, tho, so now that I HAVE added that folder, I have 250 movies sitting in my ‘recently added’ area. Is there a fix for this? The only thing I can come up with is to remove them, update the library, set the computers clock back 6 months and re add them, but I was hoping upon hope that there was a ctrl - z of some sort for my mistake. This is on a Windows machine.
I dont think changing the clock will do anything. All is stored in the plex db files so unless you have a backup of that directory, I am not sure that you will be able to restore how you had it.
In the web browser, you can select the first item by clicking on the little circle that you see when your mouse is hovering over it. Then scroll to the last item in the library and, while holding the shift key down, click anywhere on that last item and, voila, all the library gets selected. It is that easy. Then from top menu "Toogle Played"mark as Played
You can change the On Deck to 1 week.
While I knew how to select multiple titles, I was unaware that the on deck could be changed. Doesn’t appear to reflect the recently added tho. I’ll chalk it up as a learning experience.
And it won’t. Watched or not will not change the fact plex thinks they are “recently added”
You could “unmove” the 250 movies and wait til plex discards the items. You may need to empty trash/clean bundles but that should work. The items will be gone from plex. Though there is nothing you can do about adding them. I doubt any online scrapper will allow you to access their site while your date is so off.
Just as I expected.
As @kaostheory360 stated. Your only two options would be editing the db directly which won’t be easy or restore a previous db(way easier!).
