My wife and I were experiencing issues with playback where it wouldn’t let us go past a minute. It turns out we weren’t supposed to keep dismissing the “Activate Plex” dialog.
We didn’t realize that Activating Plex was required to stream content to the device (I don’t remember this being the case). It was hard to diagnose though because the playback would work for the small length of time it allows.
I would adjust the experience to give a trial period to test things out (I am assuming this is why you can playback 1 minute at a time). Once the trial is done you can then block playback until activating.
We weren’t opposed to paying to use the player. It was just really frustrating we couldn’t listen to the audio book through Plex when we were driving since I wasn’t able to more thoroughly troubleshoot the issue.
