So I tried sharing my libraries for the first time today (I am a plex pass member) and everything works fine, except the person I shared with does not have a plex pass account and they get an error after 1 minute saying Playback Limit, a bunch of words and then if you want to stream media to this iPad, you can activate with a one-time in-app purchase etc. I looked at the comparison between the free offering and premium and it looks like free should support sharing etc, am I missing something obvious before telling them they need to sign up for Plex Pass? Thanks for the help.
I just looked in the App description in the app store and I see there is a $4.99 App Activation option but the person said it appeared to only be a monthly option which would make sense for a Plex Pass monthly subscription. How do you select the App Activation only, trying to do this remotely with someone that is not very technically savvy.
