I don´t know for how long this might be going on but I just checked while watching a MKV movie with DTS audio.
It is definitely being transcoded for my Xbox One but Plex Web says in the "Activity" -> "Now playing" section that the movie is direct playing.
I started another movie and it said the same thing.
Everything is working correctly but it should say Video(direct stream), Audio(transcoding).
This might not be a a problem with the Xbox One app but something is wrong here.
Can anyone confirm this issue ?

No update went through afaik. This is a confirmed bug and will be fixed in a later release.

I have played a Blu-ray rip with DTS Master Audio and my Plex server says "direct play" Why complain. I would rather not have this changed than have it removed. Shhhhhh!!! Don't tell anybody about this. If you can, change your Audio Video Receiver to multichannel PCM and your receiver will pass the DTS Master Audio to your speakers un-touched.
One more thing. Change audio in Xbox to uncompressed pcm and the Xbox will decode dts master audio and True HD to your receiver.
