I’m looking to get a new Polestar soon, and they are the first to run a native Android OS in the car.
They wont be the only ones.
Currently its limited to only a radio app and spotify, and being Android OS already, they wont add Android Auto anytime soon
I’d love to be able to run plexamp natviely in it if possible
Your so adaptable Plex, surely you can see you’re way to getting this working.

Hi, I concur with the above. Apparently there are just some minor tweaks needed for existing Android Auto compatible apps to make an app Android Automotive compatible.

Bashers link above includes details for the Polestar Android Emulator for Android Automotive, so everything seems to be in place to support changes and testing.

Hey I just wanted to second this request. Plex on Android Automotive would be really great. I know there are only a few Android Automotive users out there, but also there are very few apps. I could imagine that publishing a plex app would give plex a whole new user base.

Just got an AAOS based car and am desperate to get out of YouTube Music and Spotify, I refuse to pay for premium subscriptions when I’ve got all the music I want ready and waiting for me.
I’ve resorted to the USB Media player primarily.
