As a parent of a disabled child with autism, radical interface changes are a complete nightmare. Tonight has been no different. I originally had no idea why she was dragging me to the TV. Turns out she could not find her favorite episode anymore due to the changes to the interface.
My suggestion is simple. An adaptive interface - use the last as a springboard. This would be able to be toggled on and off per user and ideally changes to the interface long term would remain minimal to none.
Will it be flashy? Nope. Doesn’t matter. Kids like her with disabilities and/or autism will thank you for being able to locate their favorite shows without frustrating struggle.
