I would like there to be a badge in the upper left corner of the TV show posters in the library view showing if the show is incomplete or if it is ongoing. For example:
If a show has finished airing, but s02e05 is missing there could be a little “I” for incomplete.
If a show is still airing and the missing episode is the most current one, and is less than a week since air date it would show nothing.
I would find this very useful, as I hate starting a show only to discover part way in that I am missing one of the episodes.

While the OP is focusing on how to show/indicate missing episodes or entire seasons while displaying that particular show, further down in the thread there’s also a discussion how this can be identified on the higher tiers of that show or library.
This appears to be pretty much the same to me – in that case I suggest you vote/comment in that thread in order to avoid distracting votes/attention (and closing this one as a duplicate).
