Add a library default to "Sort by Folder" - Feature Request

I have a few libraries (Home movies, Courses, Misc Documentaries) that would be a pain to add all the metadata in. I find it way easier to just organize those by folder/subfolders. So I have to tell everyone I share how to change the view from “Movies” to “Sort by Folder”. Be great if I could just have those few libraries default to “Sort by Folder”.

There’s already an existing feature suggestion discussing that very option. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

Feature Request - Libraries that default to browse by folder

I have training/education videos and Plex won’t know what to make of them, and some have odd naming like 0 something, 1 something, etc. Can we have the option when creating a libray to force everyone who enters it to view as “By Folder” so they’re navigable and Plex isn’t trying to index things, find cover art, etc?
